Delving Deeper Higher Cert. in Genealogy

The Delving Deeper Family History Course is structured on the IHGS Higher Certificate in Genealogy Correspondence Course syllabus and is designed to meet the needs of both the keen enthusiast who wishes to trace his or her ancestry as a hobby, and the professional, who wishes to gain a recognised professional qualification.

The structured course will last twenty six months and commences on the 16th April, 2018.   Classes will meet regularly, ideally every fortnight, but will break for the school holidays. Students will be set a number of monthly tasks which may be used to conduct research into their own family pedigree. The mid-month session, usually in the form of a workshop, is designed to review the progress of individuals, to discuss particular aspects of the previous modules and to carry out practical exercises.

The cost of the course is £1100 and a place can be reserved with an initial deposit of £200.     

All modules and workshops will be held at the Petersfield Community Centre, GU31 4BW, from 11.15am to 1.15pm.
